Professor Ravi Menon’s former student – Matthew Quinn, Medicine Class of 2017, receives the Canadian Medial Hall of Fame Award
Congratulations to Matthew Quinn, Medicine Class of 2017, on receiving the Dr. Alan Hudson and Robert W. Noakes Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Award.
The award recognizes a second-year medical student who demonstrates perseverance, collaboration and an entrepreneurial spirit, and shows outstanding potential as a future leader and innovator of health care in Canada.
“It’s a tremendous honour to be recognized by the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame,” said Quinn. “I’m also humbled to have been chosen among my peers at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry. This award is very special to me.”
Part of the application process was an essay describing an inspirational lauteate of The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (CMHF). Quinn wrote about Dr. Charles Drake.
“With this award we seek to connect Canada’s young health leaders to our recognized medical heroes as a source of inspiration and mentorship so that they may also achieve significant impact in their careers.” said CMHF Board Chair Dr. Jean Gray.
